Zillions Magazine was a publication by Consumer Reports that was aimed towards kids. They would review things like Super Soakers and back packs, teaching kids how to look for good craftsmanship when buying products. Apparently they stopped publishing in September 2000, and are now only an online entity. To this day, I still knock around a back pack and put a bunch of books in it to make sure it can handle some abuse before purchasing. The last one I bought lasted about a decade!

Twister is a 1996 American disaster film starring Helen Hunt and Bill Paxton as “storm chasers” researching tornadoes. It was directed by Jan de Bont. The film was based upon a script by Michael Crichton and Anne-Marie Martin. Twister was the second-highest grossing film of 1996, with an estimated 55 million tickets sold.
In the movie, a team of storm chasers try to perfect a data-gathering instrument, designed to be released into the funnel of a tornado, while competing with another better-funded team with a similar device during a tornado outbreak across Oklahoma.
Twister is notable for being both the first Hollywood feature film to be released on the DVD format[1] and the last to be released on HD DVD.[2] Twister has since been released in high definition on Blu-ray disc. It was nominated for two Academy Awards for Best Visual Effects and Best Sound in 1997.

Trilogy of Terror (also known in the United States as Tales of Terror and Terror of the Doll ) is a three part television horror thriller film, first aired on ABC on March 4, 1975. The film, directed by Dan Curtis and starring Karen Black in the four lead roles of each chapter, including roles as twin sisters, was originally a failed pilot for a horror anthology television series[1].
All three segments are based on unrelated short stories written by Richard Matheson, with film titles being the names for the film’s protagonists, played by Black. Black initially turned the role down but eventually accepted when her then-husband, Robert Burton, was selected for the role of “Chad”.[1] A television film sequel, Trilogy of Terror II, written and also directed by Dan Curtis was released in 1996.

Poltergeist is an American horror film, directed by Tobe Hooper and released on June 4, 1982. It is the first and most successful of the Poltergeist film trilogy and was nominated for three Academy Awards[1]. The film was co-produced and co-written by Steven Spielberg along with Michael Grais and Mark Victor—his first major success as a producer. The plot revolves around the haunting of a suburban family home that is suspected to be the work of poltergeists.
The franchise is often said to be cursed, because several people associated with it, including stars Dominique Dunne and Heather O’Rourke, died prematurely. “The Poltergeist Curse” has been the focus of an E! True Hollywood Story.

I seem to remember this show was a pretty interesting idea back when it was on, and let’s face it, who didn’t think or wish their school had some sort of crazy conspiracy going on somewhere and that their headmaster just might be truly evil/demonic for shouting at you that one time? Just me? Ah well.

I grew up with cats my whole life, and Nickelodeon had a short during the commercial breaks called “Housecats” which for the longest time had been lost in obscurity. The simple soundtrack was etched in my mind and last night I had it in my head as I was looking at my black cat. I decided to search YouTube for it, and finally found this lost classic.
