Milky The Marvelous Milking Cow

Submitted by Heather W

This toy was awesome. I got it for my 4th birthday (that I remember which one it was 32 years later should say how much I dug it) and played with it until her udders fell apart. My mom found one at a garage sale a few years ago and gave it to me as a joke. She sits proudly atop my microwave.

Freddie as F.R.O.7

Submitted by Cadellin

I’d like to nominate the animated film ‘Freddie as FRO7′, the full original British version (apparently the American release was a right chop job of editing). This totally deserves a place in that little section of our hearts reserved for all things nostalgic. ^_^

It was released back in 1992 (which might not be so long ago for some of you out there, but I was only 2) and according to Wikipedia did shockingly in movie theatres. However, I loved it, it was so much fun! My sister and I watched the VHS so many times growing up that we actually wore it out to the point of ruining the picture quality and then we watched it some more, because we pretty much had it memorized. The story follows a French prince turned into a frog by his evil aunt and it has far more innuendo than is strictly necessary in a kids’ film, and yet it still puts across some nice moral values.

Submitted by Marc P

From Wikipedia:

M.U.S.C.L.E., (Millions of Unusual Small Creatures Lurking Everywhere), was a toyline of 2-inch tall monochromatic PVC gum wrestling figures produced in the United States from 1985 to 1988. The story involved intergalactic wrestlers fighting for supremacy of the universe. The toy line itself was straight forward and collectors continue to make the line a viable hobby. The US line included 236 official figures, a boardgame, a NES game entitled M.U.S.C.L.E., a championship belt figure holder, and a wrestling ring playset. The figures were distributed in clear, blister-packed random 4-packs, semiopaque garbage can 10-packs, and boxed fixed sculpt 28 packs.

Speed Buggy

Submitted by Paul O

From Wikipedia:

Speed Buggy was a Saturday Morning cartoon produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions from September 8, 1973 to August 30, 1975 on CBS. Similar in style to Hanna-Barbera’s successful Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!, Speed Buggy followed the adventures of an anthropomorphic, fiberglass Dune Buggy, Speed Buggy (voiced by Mel Blanc), his driver Tinker (voiced by Phil Luther, Jr.), and Tinker’s friends, Mark (voiced by Michael Bell) and Debbie (voiced by Arlene Golonka). The three young adults and their car traveled from race to race, often encountering spy capers and mysteries along the way. Speed Buggy’s trademark quotes were always “Roger-Dodger!” and “Vroom-a-zoom-zoom!”
