Magic Dip

Submitted by StreakyBishie

This was the coolest invention ever for those of us who wanted tie dye but didn’t have parents who trusted us with “permanent color”. Basically what you would do is take a fish tank full of water (or other large, deep container), pour the dye on top, and it would float there. Then you would dip things into it and the color would stick to it. Here’s the funny part: I called my mom trying to remember the name of this stuff only to find out that she had FOUND an unopened box of it in the basement.

4skannerz

Submitted by Spencer M

From Wikipedia:

The original Skannerz came in three versions which represented the three tribes. Zendra (blue), Pataak (green) and Ujalu (red). If a player scanned a barcode containing a rival tribe’s monster, a battle would be initiated. Also items could be gathered from Universal Product Code barcodes. Another feature is the two player battle system where two units could be linked together and battle. There are 126 monsters to collect and control between the 3 controllers.

In this video, you also get the signature voice of the one and only Sisqo. Double nostalgia win in 1 link. I remember the whole y2k flip out that year too. Please consider this, as i find this to be one of many great nostalgic moments.
