If you were a kid in the 80’s, you should at least be familiar with this. Packaged as the “Nintendo Cereal System” along with berry flavored Zelda cereal, the fruity Mario puffs were shaped like little turtle and goombas, as well as the plumber himself.
I always hoped they’d make more cereals for the Nintendo Cereal system, but it doesn’t seem like they will. Anyway, the boxes often had special offers on the back for stuff like trading cards or a contest for an NES Power Set! I was preserving a box of this for a whole year until my mom threw it out because of the smell, so if you’re preserving it for value, I suggest eating the cereal first. May be worth something to cereal box collectors (do these exist)?

Squeezits were just a glorified juice box, but for some reason squeezing the juice into your mouth instead of sucking it through a straw made it that much more delicious. It’s probably because it was the sweetest, most non-healthy, funny colored kids beverage on the market at a time when most kids drinks were still mostly-natural juice drinks, except kool-aid and CapriSun. For whatever reason, they’ll always hold a nostalgic place in the memories of our childhood.

We always remember Tang for leaving a chalky, sticky taste in our mouths unless we were sweaty and dehydrated after baseball practice or something. Otherwise, it was one of those things that your Mom would give you and you groan because you wish you could have Kool-Aid or real juice. Now Tang tastes even more funny because it’s full of artificial sweeteners.
It will forever be remember for being used by the first moon-walkers, for those that don’t remember. For anyone that’s confused by the provided commercial, it’s because one of the main objectives of the moon-walkers was to bring back moon rocks.

Ahhh, the candy necklace. What kid didn’t love these? You could parade around, pretending you were a princess, pirate, or anything else that wears cool necklaces, then you could amaze others by eating your colorful jewels! They came in a zillion different flavors, and let’s face it, these things are pure sugar- perfect for getting those highs you need to pull an all-nighter at your slumber party. Even teens aren’t ashamed to wear these epic wins because, hey- they’re amazingly cool! Long live the candy necklaces, rings, watches, and lipstick- and any other candy jewelry those geniuses at the candy companies can dream up.
