Not much to be said, but these were central to every one of my childhood summers. Sometimes my neighbour would keep a whole one to herself, rather than breaking it in half and sharing, and I thought she was horrible for that.

Mother’s Cookies was founded in 1914, and eventually shut down in late 2008. The company was responsible for the classic Mother’s Circus Animal Cookies, which were brought back to supermarket shelves by Kelloggs earlier this year.

Or maybe the epic win is prizes in cereal. I remember a day when my sugar cereal promised prizes in the box, not through some mail-in offer where I had to pay for postage.

Dilly Bars were introduced in 1955. Soft-serve ice cream on a stick, dipped in delicious chocolate. There were also other flavors like cherry, butterscotch, and the infamous lime Dilly Bar, which was coated a light green.
