Epic Win: Doug

Jun. 30, 2009

This was the closest we could find to the original on YouTube

Submitted by S Elizabeth

Doug is a totally epic win! Skeeter, Patti Mayonnaise, Judy (or Judith Annastasia Funnie, the beatnik), Quailman (or any of Doug’s other alter-egos), Porkchop, Roger, Beebe, Conni, The Dinks, etc., were always there to illustrate some sort of dilemma, whether it be a moral one or just something simple, such as Doug’s fear of asking out Patti.
It was impossible to write this post without getting the Nickelodeon’s Doug theme song stuck in our heads. We sure wish reruns were still on.

This Epic Win was initially not well-received by voters and thus skipped by the Once Upon A Win writing team, however, due to the persistence of people who love this show, the vote count was raised considerably and thus revisited by staff. Epic Win: Bugs Bunny PSA

Jun. 29, 2009

Bugs Bunny’s PSAs were an epic win for mixing live action with cartoon so it made it easier to relate the video to our own kitchens. Remember hearing the voices from the PSA in your own kitchen after seeing this video on Saturday morning for the millionth time?

Epic Win: USA Up All Night

Jun. 19, 2009

Submitted by Henry T

USA Up All Night was the legendary home of every terrible movie ever made during the ’80s and ’90s. They featured all of the classic Troma movies, Bikini Car Wash movies, B Horror flicks, etc. If you’re a fan of B films, it’s probably because you used to watch USA Up All Night. Who else would get in trouble for being “hungover” from watching B flicks until 4am? Mostly we’d sneak to the living room and watch on a really low volume, unless you were lucky enough to have a tv in your bedroom.

Epic Win: Quantum Leap

Jun. 18, 2009

Watching Dr. Sam Beckett travel through time and save people’s lives was so epic. Each week we’d get a different sample of the lives of people from around the world, often so foreign from our own lives that we’d learn something new about culture, people, and life.

Epic Win: Night Court

Jun. 18, 2009

Submitted by Daniel T

Night Court was an epic sitcom. We’d stay up late to catch the dimwitted Bull, the sex-crazed Dan, or any one of the other hilarious characters.
