Epic Win: Little Critter Stories

Jun. 8, 2009

Submitted by Lindsay Y

Little Critter was a fun book for youngsters, since he was always getting into trouble or losing something or messing something up. Our favorite part of the book was the spider and the cricket that used to always follow him around. They were very simple characters, but they were always there watching the hijinks or surveying the damage.

Epic Win: Teeny Little Super Guy

Jun. 4, 2009

Submitted by Tara K

Remember all the awesome wisdom Teeny Little Super Guy used to impart on us during Sesame Street? We were always fascinated by the stop-motion animation where he would melt into the countertop or spin around and change costume.

Epic Win: Bouncy Houses

Remember those days as a kid when no matter what county fair, birthday party or fundraiser you went to there would always be one of those giant multi-colored bouncy houses? The best ones looked like castles or maybe some some sort of huge, freakish animal. There were even some that were made into gigantic obstacle courses. We would always try and collapse them or pop a hole, and you could spend hours just tyring to get a perfect backflip. SOmetimes, if you got everybody to jump to the side at the same time, you could topple the whole thing over. You could even grab onto the top parts and make it implode! We didn’t care if the fan was loud or if we fell down every few seconds, because it was just an epic win. It got even more fun as you got older, because you could send the other little kids flying with just one bounce!

Epic Win: The Giving Tree

We always wanted to have our own tree. A couple of us had to settle with an old tree with a tire swing in our grandparent’s backyard. We always cried when the boy chopped the tree down and we always thought the tree was being rather generous when it offered him a seat at the end.

Epic Win: Guess Who?

Jun. 2, 2009

guess-who

Submitted by Kayla B

“Is your person a man?”
“Does he have a beard?”
“Is he wearing glasses?”
“Is your person Andy?”

What a great game of questions. The best were when the questions started to get a little too creative, such as, “Do you think you could take your person in a fight?” And there was also the fun game of taping photos of friends, family and celebrities over the cards.
