Epic Win: Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure

Jan. 28, 2009

Once Upon A Win

Submitted by A Ginther

An entire generation’s vocabulary was dictated by these two dimwits. “Excellent!” “Nooo way!” “How’s it goin’ royal ugly dude?” Remember when everyone talked like this for like, two totally heinous years?

How many famous lines can you list?

Epic Win: Transformers: The Movie

According to Wikipedia this was the final role for both Orson Welles and Scatman Crothers – how epic is that?

Even though Transformers: The Movie flopped at the box office – the power-metal combined with a star-studded cast created a cult classic that withstands the test of time. Why can’t we have cool animated films like this anymore?

Once Upon A Win

This is one of our favorite movies, and as an added bonus, it’s based on a short story by one of our favorite authors, Stephen King. You can find that in his book “Different Seasons” if you haven’t read it.

One of the best moments in this movie is the epic tale of Lardass Hogan and the pie-eating contest:

How many of us have never looked at blueberry pie the same way after seeing that?

Nothing can beat the creepiness of Gene Wilder’s portrayal of Willy Wonka. Sorry, Mr. Depp. Between Wonka and the Oompa-Loompas, we’re not sure why Paramount promoted it as a family film.

The trailer is so tame:

DISTURBING. REALLY:

Thankfully that was under a minute. You’re welcome.
