Great show with a great theme song. It just me, or is I Dream of Jeannie > Bewitched? That’s up for debate!

(Actually, when casting the role of Jeannie, the show’s creator wanted to make sure that it didn’t go to someone who too closely resembled Elizabeth Montgomery from Bewitched.)

This film is actually a little darker than I remember it being. Let me explain the movie for LOLcat fans: Gizmo is like Happycat, a mogwai. But when he eats after midnight, he turns into Basement Cat. Also, it’s Christmas, or something.

Gremlins is a classic that still holds up pretty well today. Anyone know how well the sequel holds up? I’m guessing not as well. I do remember a part where Hulk Hogan yells at the screen.

I owned an Atomic Purple Game Boy Color (I remember my local videogames store having a disproportionately high number of unsold yellow ones), and remember it being a huge upgrade from my Game Boy Pocket (also an epic win, BTW). I also loved the backward compatibility. Combined with the original Game Boy, Nintendo sold over 118 million Game Boys worldwide!

Okay, now I know there are a dozen of you who will comment about how “the original Game Boy is the REAL epic win.” We’ve already got you covered.

My Little Pony was introduced in the early ’80s, and even outsold Barbie at one point in the decade. Like all popular toy franchises of the era, it spawned a television series and eventually a feature-length film, which had Danny DeVito among its voice cast.

One thing I never understood — why do some of the ponies have wings? Also, doesn’t that make them Little Pegasuses or something?

I always had a sneaking suspicion that they either picked the most energetic people on Earth to be contestants, or gave them heavy doses of speed before the show. Or maybe they just get really into it.
