The success of puzzle game Dr. Mario proved two things: there was life after Tetris and that overmedication is the solution to any ailment. Truly a classic, but it makes you wonder where Mario got his PhD.

Krazy Glue was so dangerous as a kid. I put some in my sisters hair and… well, let’s say that did not go over so well with my parents. Anybody else abuse Krazy Glue?

Fotomat was a chain of drive-thru photo-development labs. They were around in the ’60s, but were at their peak in the ’80s, when there were over 4,000 of these kiosks scattered about the country. But as our desire to shoot on 35mm film waned for want of fancy new digital photos, Fotomats slowly disappeared.

As a company, Fotomat transitioned to an online printing service for digital photos, but has sadly announced that they are discontinuing services as of July.

In honor of Patrick Swayze (I know, I’m a little late). Also, this clip cuts out a little early. I had a hard time finding a YouTube video that didn’t have embedding disabled (what’s up with that?).

There was a commenter who was pretty upset because he/she thought I was promoting I Can Has Cheezburger when I explained the film Gremlins in terms of LOLcats. Obviously, that wasn’t what I was trying to do because, in reality, Cheezburger is ubiquitous and insanely popular. Why? Uh, because people love cats and dogs, and they love them even more when they can talk.

I don’t really need to explain why Homeward Bound: The Incredibly Journey is a classic. It’s one of the few universal rules: pets are awesome.
