well, actually, I “PUNCH”ed because someone ‘first’ed.
Actually, it was originally an ice cream topping, not an ice cream.
I liked that stuff when I was a kid (and it came in large tin cans, not bottles), but these days I’ve developed such a distaste for high fructose corn syrup (and that stuff is made of almost nothing but HFCS) that I can’t drink it anymore.
Damn Tree-hugging, Prius-driving, So-green-you’re-practically-Irish Panty! Hey, why not roast some “organic” marshmallows and sing Kumbaya, you queer?!
What kind of punch did he give him? a hawaiian or falco?

My god, the OUAW site does love being marketed to – I reckon about seventy per cent of these memories are commercials!
Commercials are catchy and stick in your head. Kids watch a lot of TV. So yes, we remember a lot of commercials.
I was on a boat drinking Hawaiian Punch and I puked.
I like how his eyes go funny as he bounces around going “doo dee doo dee doo” before and after punching that guy. “Wasn’t that a refreshing commercial?”
Should’ve been followed up with “Why so seriousssssssuh?” “What we must do, gentlemen, is KILL the Batman!”
I used to drink it a lot, but got aching from it so I stopped.
Ice cream topping? Wow, that totally doesn’t compute for me. I mean…what?
It’s kind of like how Rita’s Water Ice has been selling Swedish Fish ice. It’s delicious, but…what?

I miss Hawaiian Punch… I should go try some again and see if it’s as good as I remember
I heard someone say that the very first HP commercials featured the other guy stealing Punchy’s HP first, and the classic exchange was simply Punchy getting his revenge.
But I have no idea if that’s true or not. Surf Wisely.
I remember the giant cans too! Also they had pictures and descriptions of all the fruits allegedly contained therin
It’d be interesting to track down an older Hawaiian Punch can and compare the ingredients with what is used now. I’m sure the recipe has been tinkered with over the years.
I spent a large portion of my childhood trying to figure out what was on his head… antlers maybe? And JUST NOW I realize it’s a straw hat.
Hah! I didn’t ever realize it was a hat, either. I don’t know if I ever paid enough attention to think anything of it, though.
Since when are there deer in Hawaii? And “Punchy” isn’t Hawaiian (although, most Hawaiians are known to be “punchy”)! I still drink it, but not without some reservations.
