» 48 Blasts From The Past

  1. Anthea says:

    “Kill the lawyer!”
“I’m not that kind of lawyer”
    LoL
    Good choice of movie :)

  2. Bread says:

It received such dire reviews, but it’s a classic. John Williams does a flawless soundtrack, and it’s a great cast. Loved it as a child; love it even more now I’ve grown up.

  3. Lisa M. says:

    Bangarang!!!
“If I’m a maggot burger why don’t you eat me!”
Ahhh… I can still watch this movie over and over =)

  4. MELISSA EUBANKS says:

ABSO-FLUCKIN-LOUTLEY! Isn’t that what Smee said? I still love this move and never understood why people gave it so much flack. It’s fun!!!

  5. Ugh Lee says:

    Rufio Poupon your face.

  6. Orangutan says:

If you like Hook, you must watch this:

  7. I_Love_Wins says:

    BANGARANG!!!!

  8. Lemon Curry? says:

    “I’ve just had an apostrophe!”
“I believe you mean an epiphany, Smee.”
“That’s right. Lightning…..has just struck my brain!”

Best Disney sequel ever. Bonus points for giving Tinkerbell a chance to act on her….feelings.

    • Leafdancer says:

Eighteen years later (holy moly, eighteen years already???), I still say, “I’ve just had an apostrophe,” and in eighteen years, only three people have gotten the joke.

      • Ajaxa says:

I’m with you on that one! I still get giggle fits when I hear that part.

      • Bill says:

The joke is even older then that. Stan Laurel used it while teamed with Oliver Hardy. Pretty sure it was in March of the Wooden Soldiers, originally Titled Babes in Toyland.

  9. Meggie says:

Loved this when i was little!! still love it now :D
    RUFIO!!! :D

  10. MarillTachiquin says:

I remember when I saw it on the movies! I didn’t understood the movie because I was young, and I remember I shruged when the kid was going to have an earring (because I don’t like them, and I’m a girl xD)

  11. spacebat says:

Nostalgia fail. Not only are the recent “wins” making me feel old, Hook was terribad.

  12. Pyrate Pixie says:

Some of the lines in this movie just broke my heart! But I loved this movie and By Badness I still love this movie.

  13. Sassy says:

I love this movie, I’ve been a fan my entire life, I had the biggest crush on Rufio!

  14. Maggie says:

I still think of this movie every time I watch “Band of Brothers” – the Lost Boy with the awesome coat is in it, all growed up. It’s awesome. My sister has requested this movie to appear at her bachelorette party (we’ll be at the cabin for a weekend). It’s so freakin’ awesome.

  15. fish eye no miko says:

Rufio grew up and became the Fire Lord. ^_^

  16. Fluffy says:

You can go just about anywhere, start chanting “Rufio” and people will join in :D

  17. Xavier says:

don’t forget the crow. my goodness i practiced my crow for weeks after i watched that movie

  18. Miss Malice says:

“This is it. Don’t try to stop me this time, Smee. Don’t try to stop me this time, Smee. Don’t you dare try to stop me this time, Smee, try to stop me. Smee, you’d better get up off your ass. Get over here, Smee!”
    “I’m coming. I’m coming.”
“Stop me! This is not a joke! I’m committing suicide!”

    Ehehehe so my fav bit

  19. Malfeasance says:

    Defeat villain.
    Turn back on villain.
    Villain tries to kill you.
    Defeat villain.
    Turn back on villain.
    Villain tries to kill you.
    Defeat villain.
    Turn back on villain.
Villain tries to kill you, kills friend instead.
    Defeat villain.
    Turn back on villain.
Villain tries to kill you. Simple accident kills villain.
    You are Peter Pan.

  20. Anonymous says:

what is wrong with you people? Even as a young child, I knew this movie sucked. Just the mention of it makes me cringe

  21. Krepta says:

A word of praise for Thud Butt, who not only has a great name, but also proved to all us fat kids that we were worth something too; that it didn’t matter if you were the ‘butt’ of someone else’s joke if you could dish it out yourself, and you could still be a hero to everyone smaller than you.

He’s a magician now! Who knew?

  22. Bandie says:

This is such a great movie. My school marching band often uses “Rufio” and “Bangerang” to pump everyone up during the game….depressingly, this year a freshman asked what we were doing. the poor kid had never heard of Hook.

  23. amguitarman says:

I must be getting old if a trailer for Hook counts as nostalgia. I remember seeing that one in theaters.

  24. volatile says:

Used to watch this on Laserdisc all the time as a kid. Yes, I just said Laserdisc.

  25. OrionRed says:

The thing that stuck with me was Hook saying “Bad form” or “Good form” like there were some RULES or something. He was sympathetic because you could tell he wanted the glory of battle and conflict against a skilled opponent.

  26. B.cereus says:

When I saw this movie in the theater as a kid, I wanted to move to Neverland, or at least the set. As an adult my favorite scene is when Jack is describing his dad’s job. And Wendy replies “Peter, you’ve become a pirate”.

  27. ali says:

i just watched this yesterday. It happens to be my 3 year old son’s favourite movie

  28. Jess says:

This is, without much doubt, the GREATEST CHUNK OF CINEMA EVER CREATED!!

The only sucky part is, last year, if it weren’t for me and my BFF Melly, absolutely NONE of my algebra class would even know this movie existed.

  29. Cynthia says:

I really had a super crush on Rufio when I was a little girl….

That probably explains a lot about me now.

  30. Stephanie says:

I’ve only seen this movie a couple of times, but I love it. Smee’s “I’ve just had an apostrophe!” cracks me up every time. :)

  31. Cori says:

aaand.. Rufio grew up to have some HOT dance moves in that recent movie with Antonio Banderas “Take the Lead”
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DEwZIufmafo&feature=related

yes.. that’s him in the green and yellow jacket… :D

  32. Monny says:

    Best. Peter Pan movie, Ever.

  33. Roland Shaw says:

I loved this movie so much while growing up (it came out the year I was born). When I was 2 I had to watch this before going to bed every night. But before going to bed I rewound the VHS to the “HOOK, WHERES THE HOOK?” scene and march around the house singing that song. Also I ended up watching this movie so much that I memorized the whole movie!

  34. Bergerton says:

Bangarang! This movie is win! plus isnt the kid from american pie in this one?
