Epic Win: Kit Kat Commercials

I just saw a commercial on television for Kit Kat Bars, and I remembered the good old commercials they used to have with the very catchy song: “Give me a break, give me a break. Break me off a piece of that KIT KAT BAR!”
Neat fact: Kit Kats have become popular in Japan recently because it sounds so similar to kitto katsu, which translates to “You will surely win!” Apparently that makes them good luck charms.

Commercials… Every day… Why?
I have these women friends who are twins, so on line they called themselves Kit and Kat, and then both started using the handle Kitkat on IRC. (not surprisingly they like the candy but that wasn’t the source of the handle). They went to this channel where people discussed “Lois and Clark”, that’s how long ago this was. And it never failed every time one of ‘em would sign into there at least one person would greet them with “give me a break” and this was years after the commercial was off the air. A good commercial lasts forever.

Do you guys remember the playground handshake thingy (name escapes me atm) that you could do to the song? I still do. I feel very old when I have to teach seven year-olds how to do it.

Kit’s own cats… WHAT KIND OF A WORLD IS THIS!!! I love kitkat bars, what astranges me is the last word is mispelled just like the last word in Ku Klutz Klan… Wierd…
When I was a little kid, I sang that song to the son of a guy who owned a Wal-Mart, and got a whole box of Kit-Kat bars for free….
I haven’t seen these in a while, but man, they are good! So are Charleston Chews…. Mmmm….
there is a current kit kat commercial that makes me want to blow up my tv…it is just people breaking kit kats with the sound super amplified.
Seconding that, beingwyrd. One more showing of that commercial and I’ll take a hammer to my TV – or my skull.
