Frankly, I preferred Charles Nelson-Reilly on his other regular game show, Match Game, because the double entendres seemed to fly a lot faster and looser (and back and forth between the 6 stars, which typically were fairly consistantly same stars throughout a season) more than on Squares.

I had a Toss Across as a kid, and even after we lost the beanbags, one could use other things – Including making it a game of skill with a waterhose, by tilting the target board up and trying to use the pressure nozzle to turn a square the way you wanted without disturbing the others.

This game was mildly entertaining until our dogs got to the bean bags. And I’m guessing that photo was taken in a mobilehome built circa 1972 or ‘3.
