    ╔═╦╦╦╦═╦══╗

    ║╔╣║║╠╗║║║
    ╚╝╚╩╝╚═╝╚╝

    • Care Troll says:

what do you do just sit around refreshing waiting to say first? This is like the third one of you I’ve seen today alone.

  2. Blaster says:

    Blast from the ass

  3. Baliseth says:

Wow….Its been a long time since I thought of this show, but I used to adore it.

  4. Zero says:

Oh god this show. This used to be one of my favorites when I was little, and until a recent bought of nostalgia, I’d forgotten all about it. I’m so happy that people other than me remember this show.

  5. Nik says:

^ what he said. Love moments like this where you suddenly remember something like this from your kiddyhood that you had not though about for 10 or so years.

  6. LaurenJ says:

I LOVED this show! I used dress like Alex Mack on non-school uniform days.

  7. Casa says:

I used to watch Clarissa Explains It All but I’ve never heard of this other show… was it on later at night or some thing?
Also, lame sauce that her best friend is a black male. What is with that?! “oooh we are sooo diverse.” Like how Lizzie Mcguire’s best friend is a jewish boy… just.. lame.

    • devin says:

I hear that in real life sometimes people have friends that are different races or genders than them.

    • Care Troll says:

I know right. Obviously black people are a myth made up my television.

    • Viking says:

My best friends are Jewish, Korean, and Black… and I am a European/America mutt… so… what exactly is your point to this? Are you not as integrated as the rest of the world (believe me, I used to be when I was growing up in California…)

    • Casa says:

I’m just saying it’s so silly how they have maybe one or two ethnic kids in the entire school, and the main character is always their bestest buddy. It’s statistically improbable.

  8. toribug11 says:

i was just talking to my friends about this show, an no-one remembers it but me…

    • moi says:

i felt the same way, i even thought maybe i never even saw it and had been thinking of an entirely different show. now i have proof!

  9. Care Troll says:

This show provided my first TV crush. In the first episode when Alex melted and the reformed behind the dryer naked and wet like she just got out of the shower. I think that was my jump start into puberty. Sounds weird now but hey the actress is a year older than me so it’s ok.

  10. JoshMiller says:

Then she turns into a giant turtles and learns Ninjitsu!

Oh wait, wrong show. They totally ripped off her origin from TMNT.

Still, I loved this show. I always wanted powers like that.

    • Care Troll says:

AH but they stole their origin from daredevil. People (and animals) have been getting splashed with toxic stuff since the 50’s.

  11. Miroku says:

    The description makes this post.

Alex Mack was a cross between Clarissa Explains It All and the T1000 from Terminator 2.

    Anyway, I enjoyed the show

  12. WeirdGuy says:

A girl that can burp bubbles? I’d hit that.

  13. blues_blues says:

this show came out on DVD and these are the two observations from watching it

    1) Jessica Alba is shown on the box 3 times as being in the show. She has 5 minuets of camera time for the whole season and she’s 13

    2) I dont know about you, but if i was to get coated in some mystery liquid I’m not going to hide from my parents Im going to shower

  14. Trevik says:

I had such a huge tv crush on her. Still do. Loved her also in 10 Things I Hate About You. :-D

  15. Shadow says:

After starring in “10 Things I Hate About You”, she pretty much dropped off the face of the earth. Everything since then that she’s starred in has been really low budget stuff. For a while she starred on “3rd Rock” and was in one episode of “Malcom in the Middle.” Most recently, she played a character on “Without a Trace.”

  16. Anonymous says:

Hah! My friends and I were just talking about this show last night.

  17. Anonymous says:

OMG I’v been trying to remember the name of this show for a month thank god.

  18. Meredith says:

Hmmm. I must not have been watching Nick anymore by the time this came on. I think I had switched to Six Million Dollar Man reruns by this point, because I don’t think I ever saw this show.

  19. emma_revenge says:

this show was uber awesome. nuff said.

  20. sammy says:

oh man i loved this show, when i was younger i totally had a crush on her. Too bad when you get covered in chemicals in real life you just get cancer…

  21. Sheleigh says:

I really loved this show as a kid. Even until today I occasionally use the words “lunch meat” for passwords because Alex’s sister had it as her password in one of the episodes and it just stuck with me.

  22. BMB says:

I used to have such a crush on her… *sigh* good memories.

  23. NP says:

I had a huge boner for Annie Mack.

  24. Allison says:

This was my favorite show as a kid, no doubt. I loved the plot lines and all the characters and their relationships with each other. Looking back I think Alex was such a good role model for young kids. She may have been shy and unsure of herself at first but she grew up into a confident young lady and always had her heart in the right place. Aside from her powers, I think she was one of the most real pre-teens ever on television, so much more than say Hannah Montana or iCarly or what have you nowadays.
(Sorry that was long, but I just loved that show!)

  25. Derek says:

Between Jessica Alba’s mustache and that Jerry guy balding at 14, that show was already weird enough.

I, like many, also had a crush on Larisa Oleynik. Not just as Alex, though. She’s a genuinely sweet individual. That’s a rare find by any standard, let alone in showbiz.

It’s probably good that she didn’t make acting her life. Nobody can keep up that kind of intensity without long-term damage and for her to lose her awesomeness would be a full-on tragedy.

  26. jenna says:

you can get “Are you afraid of the dark” on netflix but im scared to get it and not think it as amazing as i did when i was like 10!

  27. Miss McLaren says:

OMG I absolutely loved this show! I loved the whole zappy thing with the levitating things powers and when she ate that crazy rice it made her super strong. And then there was that thing she did like turning into quicksilver or whatever and I just loved it. I believe they even had a few books (all of which I’m sure I read). I had been hoping this would be on here!

  28. Gaz says:

Y’know what else I remember? When Larisa Oleynik guest-starred on All That and they did an Alex Mack parody called Alex Saxx where she got smacked in the face w/a saxophone and couldn’t stop playing (horribly). I remember the parody intro went “I’m Alex Mack. I wear a hat!” poking fun at the fact that she ALWAYS wore some sort of hat. But did someone further up in the comment list say this is on DVD? I’m-a have to go find it to go along with my Adventures of Pete & Pete and Clarissa Explains It All DVDs. Trying to reconstruct my childhood, one boxset at a time

  29. Tylonfoxx says:

    that show was awesome :D
there is nothing more to say about it

  30. Rachel E. says:

    I ADORED THIS SHOW! :3

  31. andres nicolas gherscovici says:

“sadiodara the secret world alex mack baby” ¡pank!

“hasta la vista el mundo secrto de alex mack bebe” ¡pang!
