Epic Win: Mickey Mouse Talking Phone

Submitted by katsak
With the Mickey Mouse Talking Phone, you could invite all of your favorite Disney characters over, then feel like this later.
What’s up with this ad? Are the kids crank calling Mickey? Oh, she said party, not potty…

xD
I loved that thing. I loved anything with buttons.
OH SNAP!!! I had totally forgotten about that! Epic blast from my pre-school past, for sure…
PS… that little girl sounds like a 75 year old granny from Brooklyn…
Hahaha, totally!
I remember this from my childhood. Even now when I am playing phone with my son I say “Mickey Mouse! Come on over!” and “Hi Goofy”… but then again I answer the real phone like the second one too…
This was awesome! I had it, but I remember being confused, as we still had a rotary phone at home. This was too futuristic!
With the mickey mouse talking phone, the batteries are not included!
I had a Sesame Street one of these. I think it may still be in the garage somewhere.
I had the Sesame Street one too!
Eeeeee! I loved that!
Hahaha, I used to have one some 15 years ago, it was a more modern one though. Funny thing is I didn’t speak english back then.
I don’t know if I ever had one of these, but I was reciting the commercial as I watched it…
I scare my husband sometimes. ::grin::
“It’s Donald.”
“Come on over!”
I set one of these up in my house and called Verizon to have them hook up phone service. The man spent 30 minutes trying to figure out how to connect it before I finally told him it was a joke.
wow, that’s freakin hilarious!
I had the Winnie-the-Pooh one. “Hi, I’m Kanga, and this is Roo!” “Hi, I’m Piglet, looking for Pooh!” And then there was Eeyore: “I’m Eeyore, and I’m sad.”
I was also a little confused about the push-button design, since I had a rotary phone (and would continue to have one wayyyyy after everyone else, but I didn’t know this at the time).
I always thought she said “potty” too!
Never realized I wasn’t the only one that thought that was hilarious..
But why would you need to call Jiminy Cricket? Doesn’t your conscience usually call YOU?
You know, I KNEW she said party, even when I was a kid, but I still made jokes about “Hey micky come over and poop” and whatnot until hmm graduate school, then I found too many poop-related topics to compete with this and it was relegated to the realm of obscurity, but I think most sick-minded people who enjoy sites like this heard “potty.” I used to play with my niece’s Micky phone after she was in bed and say “Hey Mickey, come over and make a Schiesse Video!” to the distubingly uproarious laughter of my cousin…
Never had this but totally remember the commercial.
