Better known as the “Man of 10,000 Sound Effects,” Michael Winslow was the best part of the Police Academy films (all four hundred of them). His talents had nothing to do with post-production sound editing, but real-life vocal wizardry. Behold!

Wow.. this guy is freaking amazing. How can so many sounds come out of one person’s throat and still sound so real?
That is amazing. He’s one of the reasons Spaceballs is one of my alltime favorite movies.

He did a commercial for Long John Silvers fish n chips back in the 90’s. Still remember. Someone needs to post that.
I saw him live in West Palm Beach in the late 80’s or early 90’s…he was great. I laughed the whole show.
This guy is really cool. I’m always happy when I see him on TV.
He is the man, I am surprised they did not put the space balls clip on with this. But definently one of the best thing of the 80s. He was even on Family Guy.
And even had a bit in Robot Chicken where they crossed Police Academy with X-Men, where he did ALL the sound effects in the skit and the song during the end credits. it was epic!
I have always loved Michael Winslow’s stuff! What a fantastic talent. Lots of people beat-box, but nobody else does what he can do! WIN!!!!!

My favorite Winslow will always be Carl….
I saw Winslow live, and he is the most gracious person I’ve ever met.
