He stands up for what he believes is right, and follows his conscience. It’s easy to look at the red, white, and blue suit and mistake him for a blind, jingoistic example of disdain and arrogance. But he’s a genuine, compassionate hero. He’s made of only the best parts of the optimism, courage and relative innocence of a younger United States, without the xenophobia and reactionary paranoia of the McCarthy era. He’s not perfect — and he has never claimed to be — but he always tries to be the best example that he can.

This quote is Cap’s crowning moment of awesome:

We will always need at least one hero who can deliver a line like that, with a straight face and entirely in earnest. Somehow, Captain America makes that sound awesome.

And that’s what Win is.
