aaaah, Corduroy! I think this was the first book that I ever read by myself. I’d read it over and over!
CORDUROY! T.T Wow! Something actually from MY childhood! Oh the memories~! ^^X
Oh, I loved this book when I was a kid! Now I read it to my little boys
I have no idea what this is…
Less ‘USA only’ entries please!
I’m Canadian, and I grew up with Corduroy…it’s an adorable story about a little bear in a department store who has lost a button from his overalls. I can’t remember all the details, but I know they eventually made it into an annoying cartoon show. Who knows? It may not be as well-known where you are, but maybe your library would have the book?
I’m swedish, and I grew up with this book.
Lovely story.
This isn’t USA only!! I LOOOVVVVVVEEEEED this book as a child!!!! Omg, I still have it somewhere stored away for my kids someday!
why i love corduroy? cause he’s kick ass thats why!!!
I never liked Corduroy. I thought that little bear was boring as sin.
Hmm, sounds to me like you need some introductions to exciting sins
Sin is not supposed to be boring, that’s where the fun comes from!
This was one of the books I used to teach myself to read. I loved it when Corduroy found a home. ^n_n^
Corduroy is totally ballin. I remember when I was little I used to really want that little girls room, especially her quilt.
My favorite book as a kid. We even made “Corduroys” in kindergarten.
My grandma had a Corduroy book, and she would read it to me when I visited once a year. Ah, the memories
i remember my 3rd grade teacher reading this to us in class, it was the only book i wanted to read, and sometimes i would read it all day
i coulda sworn i email the site this but ohwell! im glad that its finally up here!!! =D what was that book with the steam engine back ho thing?
The Little Train that Could? 8D
Was it “Mike Mulligan and his Steam Shovel”? I loved that one as well.
I LOVED MIKE MULLIGAN AND HIS STEAM SHOVEL!!!! but i cried when they showed all the broken steam shovels in the dump. then i always wondered how they did a perfect square for the basement… i guess its magic…
CORDUROY! I loved this book!
hey did you know this book can be seen in the into to “blue’s clues”? yeah- 2x nostalgia for the price of one!
I loved this book! I read it over and over again…

My mom brought me this book once she went on a business trip to New York. She used to get me tons of books in english, which explains why I read faster in english now. I just loved the book but at the same time I thought it was so sad. Poor Corduroy was all alone, nobody bought him. I remember my eyes were watery when I finished reading it.
I loved reading this to my kids, all about how you didn’t have to be “perfect” to find love. It was a good antidote to “The Good Earth” on that score.
Ooh! I love, love, love, love, Corduroy
Corduro was my favorite book growing up! If i couldn’t read it i studied the pictures!
I remember when I was three I first was read this book! I still have it its one of my favorite picture books!
i dont know why but this book scared me when i was little.
i LOVE corduroy he was the first book i learned to read and i’ll always remember it
I loved Corduroy! Way better than that stuck up Paddington Bear!
