awww i loved paddington and his marmalade sandwiches!
Paddington always makes me think of Babar!
And then mom would get orange marmalade, and we would spit out the horrible bitter orange peel jelly. Paddington Bear Betrayal!
oddly enough I suppose, I like Orange Marmalade – and I might never have tried it except for Paddington.
Man, I remember watching Paddington ALL the time…he’s the reason I got hooked on orange marmalade as a kid…as a matter of fact, orange everything. I’m so exposing my child to the awesome cartoon as soon as she’s old enough to sit up! Thanks for posting this most awesome Epic Win!
My sister loved the bear, I hated him… I realy don’t know why he creeped me out. 0o
i wanted to visit deepest darkest peru.
i also asked my mom to get orange marmalade. i don’t remember if i liked it or not? maybe, i did have a obsession with orange stuff as a kid.
Paddington Bear was the awesomest bear. I felt so sorry for the little guy. I wanted a yellow hat.
When I was in grade school we all wrote letters to different authors. I wrote to the author of the Paddington books and I received a big packet from him with a signed letter, an “autograph” from both him AND Paddington and a sticker. I was one of the few kids in class to get a reply back. I was so excited–I still have those in my hope chest (and I’m almost 41)!
Michael Bond came out here when I was little and I got my book signed by him and Paddington too! When I visited London I bought a Paddington at Paddington Station!
Love Paddington! I read and re-read all the books when I was growing up, and still have my original Paddington from when I was 10 years old. Last summer I was in London and saw the Paddington bronze statue at the train station. I brought my 20-something year old PB w/me and had a friend take a picture of me holding him at the statue. Yes I’m a dork, but PB rocks!
I saw orange marmalade at the store TODAY and thought “I should get that and be like Paddington”… I didn’t, but this post makes me think I should have
. I always wanted a yellow hat.
Oh my god! Paddington is absolutely my favorite child-hood memory! Hands down.
It’s the only good thing about my commute to work – going into Paddington station each day and walking past the statue of Paddington Bear
you know paddington bear was created by jeremy clarkson’s parents for him when he was a kid? maybe that’s why…
Clarkson’s mother just made the prototype Paddington teddy bear. I’m sure I read somewhere he still has it.
I played Paddington Bear in the 4th grade in a play. I probably looked ridiculous.
