Epic Win: Wayne’s World
Submitted by Saryna Crystalmoon
Wayne’s World is among some of the most epic of epic wins. Where do we even start? Bohemian Rhapsody? Foxy Lady? Extreme Close-ups? Schwing? Grey Poupon? Stairway to Heaven? Doodely-doo, doodely-doo, doodely-doo?
Don’t even try denying that you can quote this whole movie front to back, because we all know you can. Just click the YouTube vids below and prove us wrong…

Loved Wayne’s World. (The movie and the SNL sketches.) It’s one of my favorite movies.
I agree. also, they arent the first ones to party someplace. In fact, Miieiwahkkaa is algonqhuin for “Tthe peaceful land”
Ye gods but I hated this crap.
I miss the days when SNL was actually funny.
And hey, it’s on Blu-Ray now! The “Bohemian Rhapsody” sing-along in hi-def!
The dream sequence with Madonna skit on SNL was the absolute funniest thing I’ve ever seen.
Is that Prince? Look at the size of his unit!
One of my favorite set of lines from the first movie:
Garth: “You gonna be Benjamin’s monkey boy the rest of your life?”
Richard: “Benjamin’s my friend.”
Garth: “No Richard. Benjamin is nobody’s friend. If Benjamin was an ice cream flavor, he’d be pralines and dick.”
And the whole Del Preston monologue from the second movie where he’s talking about breaking into the candy shop in Sri Lanka (formerly Ceylon).
I had to find one thousand brown m&ms to fill a brandy glass, or Ozzy wouldn’t go on stage that night…but the shop keeper and his son, that’s a different story altogether, I had to beat them to death with their own shoes… *heh*
Anybody out there who didn’t stuff a bunch of friends into a sub-compact and sing with the cheap, noisy stereo “Bohemian Rhapsody” in falsetto?
Well, it was my mom’s station wagon, but pretty much, yeah…….:)
The only thing I honestly liked about this movie is Bohemian Rhapsody. Feed My Frankenstein was a pretty good song too, though I don’t generally care for heavy metal and/or Alice Cooper.
In the Foxy Lady vid the guy to the right @ 00:55 is the dad from Wizards of Waverly Place (or his brother)
At the time I thought it was a piss take of Bill and Ted but as I’ve got older I’ve appreciated Wayne’s World as a triumph unto itself!
actually i’ve never seen this. although my acting professor played a detective in it.
And the choice of a new generation!
I am one of those people who can quote this whole movie from beginning to end.
“Daily reminder – Thursday: Purchase feeble public access cable show, and exploit it. Wow, I feel sorry for whoever that is!”
This movie will always be on my favorites list.
The first and only good movie taken out of a SNL skit.
LIES!!!
Blues Brothers is the ultimate SNL skit turned movie.
A Night at the Roxbury was pretty good, too! Not as excellent as Wayne’s World, but no other movie is.
A glorious part of Wayne’s World is at the end of Bo Rhap when Garth doesn’t know the words and just mimes it!
“Why is it that when a man kills another man in war, it’s called heroic, but when a man kills someone in the heat of passion, it’s called murder…?” – so excellently random!
The product placement is my favourite bit.
I’m from Berwyn where the spindle(the giant car tower.) is from.
OMG one of the best movies ever. gonna have to find my copy and watch it soon(might have gotten lost in the move)
185 trolls? Denied….
