Epic Win: You Don’t Know Jack

once upon a win

You Don’t Know Jack was the ultimate catalyst for fighting with siblings and cousins. Since you had to share the keyboard to enter your answers, eventually the poor-sport of the group would start smacking hands, answering questions for you and generally making it difficult to get a good score. At the same time the comedian host of YDKJ would mock you when you got answers wrong, to questions that were complicated, silly or confusing, which only added to tension.

Don’t remember how frustrating it was? Play YDKJ Online and see if you can beat our top trivia player’s scrore of $15,113. Choose your answers wisely because the questions don’t change, so if you play a second time you already know all the answers.

  1. ThirdLaw says:

Yes! Does anybody know where there’s an online version of this game?!?

  2. eTX says:

I loved playing this game. It was fun!

  3. remolay says:

my dad had the game once, he couldn’t get it to work

  4. Shorty_Red says:

…..Seriously? Normally I wouldn’t post but really? This is not “old school” at all. Nostalgic Win FAIL. Shame on you.

  5. Biscuit says:

i just got $21,931 yeah baby!

  6. Nicole says:

Thank you SO much for noticing this awesome game! I kinda agree that it’s not old enough to be considered nostalgia, but it’s still great!

  7. Rachel of Cyberia says:

First time I played was at my date’s house. I SLAUGHTERED him (in points!) and he never saw me again.

  8. cest says:

It’s at least 10 years old, right? Can’t remember if I found it or someone gave it to me as a gift, but this was hilarious (possibly made more so by the libations imbibed prior to playing). Nevertheless, it was funny and varied enough not to be boring, and the smartass “emcee” was all dat an’ da chips. There were eventually two or three versions, all pretty good. We would still play, if we had a computer that a compatible OS…

  9. cest says:

$19,667. That was uber fun. Many thanks for the post:)

  10. Anonymous says:

    22,787. aw yeah.

  11. TI7981 says:

$26,643 I knew my trivial knowledge would be good for something eventually!

  12. mjc says:

Haha, yes this game is quite awesome! It came with a new PC we bought at one point, and man is it fun. They really thought of every possible way to mock you, even down to giving you a random and stupid name if you sit there long enough on the name entry screen without entering anything.

    • mjc says:

Bleh, $14,940. What the hell was that, though? Never heard of that “dis or dat” nonsense. What happened to guessing what the phrase was from the very strange rhyme? At least they didn’t mess up the Jack Attack, though.

  13. Miss Princess says:

I still play this game. Lol

  14. Kayla R says:

Man, I’m in the middle of old/not old and YDKJ is completely nostalgic for me! I remember playing it and not even getting the “screw” reference until now. Thumbs up, submitter.

  15. . says:

    This game was AWESOME

  16. BigAl1976 says:

$24,445 here. Not bad by my standards.

  17. Cheryl says:

Best game ever! Particularly fun if you don’t know the answer and type in ‘f*** you’. He laughs sarcastically the first time, tells you to cut it out the second time, and shuts down the game the last time saying “F*** me? No. F*** you.” and the game turns off. Awesome!

    • Are you serial? says:

Really? I never tried that, but can imagine with all the funny things incorporated into the CDRom.

It would make fun of you for playing alone (especially if it was Friday night).

It had special phrases for holidays, etc.

And the host’s mocking voice was spot-on perfect.

  18. Shrapnel says:

    wth..This is not nostalgic…

  19. Are you serial? says:

OP should have linked to the official site for online playing.

  20. squeakyb says:

    $26,603! Woo!

  21. Alice says:

    $15,890 apparently I DON’T know Jack…

  22. cereal says:

I got 10,000 or something. Got it all from the Jack Attack.

  23. ClariPossum says:

Wow! I’d forgotten all about this! Loved it when I was in high school.

    Wait… it still exists???!!! SQUEEEEEEEEEEEE!

  24. nick says:

i played all the ydkj games and my favorite was the fourth one. it has a game involving roadkill. awesome. cookie ftw!
