Epic Win: Whistle Pops

If it involves making noise and pissing off parents, it’s guaranteed to be an epic win! Now that we’re older, they also make great party conversation starters, as demonstrated here:

wow, very good stuff
YES!!!! I loved those. I remember at Kids camp the snack stand sold those. as soon as soon as the evening session was out, it was a rush to the snack stand and soon there was a chorus of high pitched random notes. it was awesome when one of the councilers bought one and could actually play a song on it.
Nice, my camp store sold those giant pixie sticks. (The one’s as long as your arm.) But then they’d have us playing night games until 2 in the morning so the sugar high all worked out I guess.
haha, I just had a reward day for my elementary orchestra, and these were the favorite prizes of all the ones I gave out!
Oh wow, I loved those, but only got to eat maybe one or two. I remember always looking for them at the store, and the store never selling them. And then there was rock candy and bulk bubble gum, but those are other entries.
I teach orchestra too, boaks. I’ve also given these as treats.
WAR DAMN EAGLE, baby!
As an Auburn graduate and a fan of whistle pops, this video is lovely.
Bodagetta bodagetta, rah, rah, rah,
sis boom bah,
weagle, weagle, war damn eagle,
kick ‘em in the butt big blue!
Waaaaaaaaaaaar Eaaaaaaaaaaaagle. Auburn represent
Heck yeah! WAR EAGLE!
Roll Tide
We had these, but they were melody pops. Used to drive mum up the wall with them
Yeah!
War Eagle!
That was an awesome and random reference to my home town. Pretty sweet!!!
Go girl, keep practicing, maybe you’ll play at a game someday.
I loved these! They always reminded me of Toot Sweets from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!
As soon as I saw this I thought of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang too! Don’t have my parents any longer…but would love to see the expression on the faces of the cats – where can I buy these..or like all good things, have they been discontinued?
Inspired, probably, by the ‘Toot Sweets’ from Ian Fleming’s “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.”
these were indeed epic. i miss them =[
Those were so much fun! Anybody try to play songs?
I’d try playing “Twinkle twinkle little star” with these.:D
YES! War Eagle!!
ooooh… I had forgotten all about those.
I use to LOVE these things!!!!!!!!!!
Haha, I loved these but there was definitely a point my parents started refusing to buy them for us.
I’m still young, and the whistle pops i annoyed people with are the first ones’ great grandchildren. The blue ones? I think.
