So, how many of you have this movie moment running through your head right now?
As soon as I saw this on here, I instantly started saying, “Everyone loves a slinky, you gotta get a slinky. Slinky, slinky. Go slinky, go!”

Heh, same here. I had an unhealthy obsession with that movie when I was younger.
I had bush at the top of some stairs trying to get a slinky down them.

I agree! I too know this song. Which was later turned into a theme for “LOG!” on some nickolodeon cartoon. Mass hallucinations indeed!

I loved my slinky for the first 5 minutes or so. By then, it was usually twisted or stretched so much that it didn’t “slink.” Even the plastic ones did that.
Yes. I had a plastic slinky, and I remember spending more time unraveling it from itself than I did playing with it. However, given what an obsessive, anal-retentive child I was, that worked out quite well for me.
I think I had a couple of rainbow-colored plastic Slinkies. They always got tangled or broken. And for some reason, whether it be me being stupid or something else, they never worked in my house.
Me too! But my sister could always get them to work….oh so annoying.

The rainbow ones were such a hit, many of my classmates used to bring them to school

I got mine as a present and it had another slinky inside
it broke though XD and now my brother has it, I think
I LOVE SLINKY!!! I named my cat Slinky!!! I remember both songs! EPIC WIN!

Nope. It was on Nickelodeon first, one of the original Nicktoons.
I loved that show from episode one.
As soon as I saw the graphic of the slinky, I IMMEDIATELY thought of the Ace Ventura scene! Epic. Win.
My immediate thought as well! Slinky down the stairs of the monastery!

I could never get that thing to work. Almost broke my head open crawling down the stairs and trying to push it along. @#$%.
One thing still riddles me:
What happens when you start a slinky at an upgoing moving staircase???

Don’t you hate it when the sliky gets tangled up and then it doesn’t do anything anymore? And sometimes you try to untangle it and it just gets worse…
The plasic ones snap sometimes…
But still, slinkies= epic win
I always wanted to get a metal slinky and put it down the up escalator!!
The metal ones were the best. The plastic ones never worked going down the stairs. I think it’s because the metal ones have the weight to keep them going.
Ok, because of that 1 clip, I HAVE to goto Mexico and make a slinky go down the stairs and record it all. *Adds to list: Epic Things To Do Before I Die”. Man I hope Carnival Cruise Lines will let me bring the metal slinky onto and off the ship. ^_^
I dont know the slinky song I know the parady of it from Ren and Stimpy for “Log” which is what I think of every time I see a slinky
fun, but really quite a dangerous toy if you think about it.
