Kinda funny, because I’ll admit…though you have to set limits (no porn for kids, limit violence, etc.), really, I watched ‘The Simpsons’ literally all my life (I’m as old as it is) and sheltering kids often makes them *****ier adults than just letting them have a little fun.

I was at an amusement park in 1990 and they made you turn your t-shirt INSIDE OUT if it was a Bart Simpson shirt. A major amusement park!!

Ok, not necessarily nostalgic, but under the category of Great Moments in Simpsons Shilling History must be Marge’s Maxim shoot.

I always loved that for how frumpy Marge is in everyday life, every few years they remind us that she’s actually super hot if she wants to be.

when i was in 6th grade my friend got the “i’m bart simpson , who the hell are you?’ shirt for her birthday. the school made her put masking tape over “hell. we just laughed. :0″

I remember hearing about schools banning the Bart Simpson “Underachiever and proud of it” tshirts because they encouraged kids not to do their best. Considering the sort of clothing that schools ban these days, gosh, we were so delightfully naive back then.
