I’m STILL get high to this movie. It really is that much more hardcore when you’re out of your mind. I go to bed with the ballroom scene in my noodle.

Or I think of the Disney “Tarzan” movie and footboarding on the trees.

Anyway, Bowie Bulge is epic. Ludo is creepy and forever will be creepy. And even my cats watch this movie.

Ah, memories. I still own a VHS version. This movie along with Legend, The Dark Crystal, The Neverending Story – while not ‘family films’ Conan the Barbarian, The Beastmaster and Krull also influenced me A LOT!

Forget David Bowie. The puppeteering in that movie was out of sight! This movie was made during the golden age of puppets when they were in the funniest show on TV (The Muppet Show) and in great movies like Dark Crystal and the Muppets movies. All this stuff of making talking animals and monsters with computer graphics these days has made puppeteering almost a lost art.

Bring back the Muppet Show!!

I LOVED this movie growing up, and I still do! I actually have it on DVD now and still watch it.

Me and my cousin would watch this, the Dark Crystal, and The Neverending Story everytime we could.
I guess that’s what led to the after dark trampoline bouncing fests while singing “Jump Magic Jump” until our voices would crack.

Ngh… I’m afriad that Tom Cruise made Legend unwatchable for me (the ~teeth~ *shudder*). I couldn’t even watch it for long enough to see the villain…

Labyrinth, I enjoyed. White-haired pretty-boy villains are my favorite ^_^

Labyrinth is a fab film; my 8 year-old brother and I love it!
But I’ve made all my friends watch and they hate it.

However, I think Dark Crystal is a bit rubbishy. Although that is mainly because I thought it was in a box set with Labyrinth because it had David Bowie in too, so I was mega disappointed when I found out it didn’t…

I just watched “Labyrinth” again, and it’s only now that I really appreciate the music… And Bowie. <3

Oh man, I loved this movie, DESPITE the fact that I first watched it with a bad case of the stomach flu! Heh.

At the time, I was too young to be thinking of Jareth as smokin’ hot, so I can’t count myself among the people who became Bowie fans from this movie. Still undoubtedly one of my favorite childhood films, though.

…Damn, I need to watch it again.

Fortunately for me, I saw this farily young, thanks to my brother and my mum, who both loved this movie. Unfortunately for me, my mum was so in love with the movie, my middle name is Jareth, thanks to Bowie. I’m 18 and this is most definitly one of the no. 1 childhood films of mine, alongside Willow, The Dark Crystal and the Princess Bride.

I just watched this movie the other day for the first time. I thought I would like it because I like Neverending Story, and alot of other fantasy movies. I did not like it though. I guess I’m weird, but I was really disappointed that the goblin king went away. If I was her, I would have asked him if he wanted a Goblin Queen. Also, no matter how many times I had to babysit, I would not have wished for him to be taken away. I’m in for some critism, i know. lol

My inner drama-nerd will never let me NOT love this movie…I was about 14 or so when i first saw it back in the 80’s…so i was at just the right age to have a huge crush on Jennifer Connelly in this movie and on Mia Sara in that other great under-appreciated 80’s flick “Legend”…someone needs to submit that one here too…Between Bowie’s Jareth and Tim Curry’s Lord of Darkness, i learned almost everything i know about how to remain charming and personable even when being a cruel bastard…

When I was a child, David Bowie was the incarnation of evil to me! I was so scared of the Goblin King! I own it on DVD now and love it greatly, but I think I was as traumatized by the costume *coughcrotchcough* as anything else.
Only David Bowie could get away with that outfit. All of it.
