I used to work for Walgreens (from 2007-2008) and we got these in one week around Christmas time, and they were gone in two days. I can’t count how many times I got yelled at too because people had heard we had them but we were already sold out.

False. Meijer still exist. Perry Drug Stores were bought by Rite Aid in 1995, Hills merger with Ames in 1999 and Osco Drug has been split between Jean Coutu, CVS, Supervalu and Cerberus in 2002 and 2006.

We had the brilliant idea of plugging our Christmas tree in to a Clapper on year to save from trying to plug the lights in all the time. Worked great… till we were listening to some family members sing and play the piano over the holidays and started applauding for them! Strobing Christmas tree, the neighbors must’ve thought we were nuts…

Current 110v outlets are “earthed” – although we call it grounded on this side of the pond. The two prong designed plugs have to be polarized so one side can only go into the neutral side of the outlet. It still provides protection from shock.

Ha ha, I remember when one of my friend’s mother got a bunch of these and went hog-wild with them…but then she put more than one in each room! If you weren’t careful, whenever you clapped to turn the lights off the TV would come on.
